Sophomore Year: 2023-2024

M1 - Mini FRC Robot

In my first makerspace I attempted to create a robot using old FRC components. I programmed the robot to move around in any direction based on driver input. The robot ultimately was not able move because I ordered the wrong belt size so I was not able to put them on.

M2 - BeanBot

In this makerspace project I created a small robot that could connect to my twitch chat and move based on what the chat wanted. It would tally collective votes in a time period and move based on the most requested direction.

M3 - Bluetooth Controller

In this makerspace project I created my own retro game controller powered by an ESP32. It could connect to a phone or computer through Bluetooth and play retro games.

M4 - PCB Fabrication

In this makerspace project I created a UV LED light box controlled by an ESP32 to create PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). This would allow me to manufacture PCBs for cheaper then getting them professionally made. I also learned how to use KiCad and designed my own PCB for an ATTINY85 game console.

AP Seminar Research/Writing

During my AP Seminar class, I undertook several rigorous research and writing projects that allowed me to delve into complex issues and develop my analytical skills. These projects, which included the Individual Multimedia Presentation (IMP), Team Multimedia Presentation (TMP), and Individual Written Argument (IWA), were pivotal in shaping my understanding of the subject matter and honing my research capabilities.

Freshman Year: 2022-2023

Mouse Trap Car

For this school project I challenged myself with compound levers, allowing for much more string to be pulled from the same mouse trap. It worked up until the competition, where it did not perform as expected.

EC-1B Horme

For this school project the goal was to create a car that is powered by some kind of chemical reaction. A complicated system of electronics was used to move it a specified distance.

Chess Pieces Project

For this school project the goal was to make interesting looking chess pieces. I decided to go for a simplistic style which I consider ended up very well.

Concrete Project

For this school project the goal was to create concrete that could withstand someone jumping onto it. Both versions of concrete that I created held up very nicely.
